From another state Air National Guard (State to State)
Talk with your current MPF Separations Office in your current FSS to clarify their local process.
This office will most likely provide you a document call AFFORM1288 and will also need to clarify who authorizes you to leave the state for our Wing.
Talk with your chain of command and let them know what your goal is. Keeping them in the loop is important as they would be involved with the process outlined in step 1 above.
Once AFFORM1288 page 1 and endorsement 1 is complete send to kristianna.aamodt@us.af.mil. I will work the gaining process locally here. At a minimum our MPF team, MDG team and the new Squadron will be involved. In some situations other teams could be required to verify and recommend approval for the move. Example may be our FDO team, specifically if you are cross-training. We will also connect you with the gaining Unit to clarify expectations and ensure you have the opportunity to ask any questions you have.
I will require at a minimum your RIP, PCARS, and Fitness print out be emailed to me.
Once the above steps are completed, we work together to verify your new start date with us. We will complete your AF1288 along with your DDFORM4. Those are needed for your current unit to effectively "lose" you.
Please connect with me at kristianna.aamodt@us.af.mil with any questions or issues.
Thank you for your interest in serving with us at the 148FW in Duluth, MN!
