FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

The Dixon Center offers one-time grants to female veterans and their families who are experiencing financial hardship. The grants can be used to cover the cost of everything from gas, to work training, to housing costs, and more at
This online mentorship program for veterans and other military personnel has helped over 6,700 women who are trying to navigate the civilian workforce. Mentors help find job resources for veterans and help them form and achieve career goals via https://www.ementorprogram.org/.
USDA Programs include SNAP, WIC, TEFAP, CSFP, FDPIR, & USDA and grants via https://www.fns.usda.gov/. Select your state and see local agencies near you for assistance for infants, children, seniors and more.
This program provides federal grants to states for foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants/ children up to age 5. See your states WIC website (below) for information on free healthy food, dental and health programs, breastfeeding support, and referral to health and social agencies.
