PROMOTION EXPECTATIONS

Eligible does not = promotion ready

Promotion Checks

• AFSC, TIS, TIG, Education (chart below)

• IMR – must have all medical items completed/scheduled

• Fitness – must have current/passing fitness test

• Training – will review upgrade training (CDCs, tasks) and Ancillary Training

• EPRs – no overdue evaluations

• Expectations met in Enlisted Force Structure, AFH 36-2618

TSgt

• Package (fit test, RIP, AF2096)

• Meet/pass FSS promotion board

MSgt/SMSgt/CMSgt

• Package (Personal Narrative, Fit Test, RIP, EPRs, etc.

• Meet/pass Wing promotion board

• Package only (AF 1206)

• 12 bullets in leadership and duties

• 4 bullets in whole person concept

• FSS winners submitted to MSG

• MSG selects winners and submits to Wing

• Wing selects Wing-winners

• Wing winners compete with JFHQ winners

How LRS determines Winners

• Meets with Section Superintendents requesting for nominees for each award category

• Nominees determined by leadership and superintendents and based on

• Passing/current fitness test

• Does member have 12 leadership/duties and 4 whole person accomplishments

• Which nominee for each category is most competitive and best representative
