If Jeannette does not have the ROI or other info that is needed to proceed, then we will need to reach out to Solution Services at SolutionServices@verisys.com and Tiffanie Windhorst (the AM) to request the items needed from the client.
For Alignment Board Cert verifications that fall under ABMS that require outreach for a signed release or mailed payments, we can verify using the Advantage ABMS data. Outreach is not approved for any Alignment providers. See Alignment BC Verifications - Advantage ABMS for the full process to access the Advantage ABMS Board Cert data to complete these Board Cert verifications.
For Board Certs with NCC (National Certification Corporation), the NCC ID# is required to verify. If the Alignment Board Cert entry does not include the NCC ID#, or the certification document is not attached, we will need to reach out to Jeannette to request the NCC ID# they have on file from their Advantage verification. Please reach out to either Nathaly or Kaylynn, so they can reach out to Jeanette Rodeghiero to request the IDs. Once the NCC ID# is received, we will then attempt to verify directly with NCC.

If the client's signed ROI is not received when the MedPass due date is approaching (45 days after MP submission), the Board Cert order should be closed as Not Found with the following clipping: The signed Release of Information required to complete the Board Cert verification with ENA (Emergency Nurses Association) has not been received from Northwestern. The Board Cert. verification order is being closed as Not Found. If/when the signed Release of Information is received, we will proceed with the Board Cert. verification with ENA.
If a State License is supplied as a Board Cert, such as an Illinois State CNA license or Illinois State Radiologic Technologist license, with the board name listed as Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations or Illinois Emergency Management Agency, the order should be completed with a Verified Status of 'Not Regulated'. This will map back to the MedPass as Unable to Verify.

We should reach out to this admin (3) times before adding to the AM Outreach document.

Board Certifications are required ONLY for MP Type of Certified Optician and Dual Certified Optician
* Certified Opticians and Dual Certified Opticians: We MUST search the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO-NCLE) for ABOC and NCLE certifications, add the BC to the MedPass and submit to generate the Board Cert orders, following the WMT BC Add Process.
* Certified Opticians: if they have an expired BC and an active BC, you only need to add the active BC. They only need one from either ABO or NCLE. If ABO or NCLE is provided by Walmart or the provider, but is Not Found and at least one BC is Active, return the not found BC as Not Verified to remove the Assess (Not Found) result.
* Dual Certified Opticians: need to have both BC's (ABO and NCLE), so if either of those BC's is expired, you would still need to add it.
* Board Cert Monitoring- All Board Certifications must be monitored for renewal upon expiration. All Active Board Certifications must be re-triggered and re-verified no later than (30) days prior to the expiration date. If not renewed at (30) days prior to the expiration date, all Board Certifications will need to be re-verified within (1) business day after the expiration date.

Board Cert - Verified
Walmart does NOT have a requirement for their Physicians to be Board Certified. If entered, it must be verified.
Active Board Certs must be verified within (90) days of MedPass Release Date.
American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM): Board certification verifications verified through ABIM do not include a full expiration date. As of 4/10/2023 for Walmart Physicians, for the Expiration Date, we will use April 1st for the month and day and the following year for the expiration date, in order to monitor their Board Certs on an annual basis. Example Expiration Date: For an ABIM board cert verification completed on 3/29/2023, we will capture the expiration date as 4/1/2024.
American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM): Board certification verifications verified through ABFM do not include a full certification date or an expiration date. For the Effective/Certification Date we will use February 15th for the month and day and the Certification Year listed on the verification. Example Issue Date: For an ABFM board cert verification with a Certification Year of 2022, we will capture the Effective/Certification Date as 2/15/2022. For the Expiration Date, we will use February 15th for the month and day and the following year for the expiration date, in order to monitor their Board Certs on an annual basis. Example Expiration Date: For an ABFM board cert verification completed on 3/29/2023, we will capture the expiration date as 2/15/2024.
