Where to Begin
Review the Job Transition Overview and follow necessary steps required by VFA
If you are unemployed, file for unemployment. This step will vary state by state but start by visiting your state’s Employment Development Agency and complete the unemployment application process. We’ve also compiled links and steps here.

Network, network, network...Reach out to mentors, friends, attend local industry-specific events.
If you’re looking for your Community Director to make an intro to a company, be sure to email them a short blurb about your experiences. Make it tailored to that company so they can easily forward it along (here’s an overview of self-contained forwardable emails in case you need a refresher!).
