Welcome To The MFA In Film Program At VCFA

Here you will find all of the information and links to your required paperwork during the residencies and over each semester

The Academic Longview  will help you understand the overall logistics of negotiating your academic standing within your time a VCFA.  We have also broken out tabs for each academic standing for ease in finding what is required during each residency and during every semester.

Required for good academic standing each semester:

• full participation in the Film residency

• prompt return of all academic and residency forms,  Mid-term and End of Semester evaluations 

• participation in monthly semester study plan meetings with Faculty Advisors

• five monthly deliverables per semester (August-December + February-June)

• mid term and end of semester project site updates  

Semester study plans are developed during each residency and completed with Faculty Advisors before the beginning of each semester rotation. Studio plans include five monthly deliverables per semester (August-December + February-June). These deliverables are evaluated and discussed during five Student/Faculty Advisor meetings over each semester.  

Deliverables and evaluations are the required credit bearing submissions
