*Those auditioning for the spring musical must attend all required days, the entire time, in order for proper casting consideration; please inform the adult directors if you are unable. The directors are flexible and will work with you to the best of our ability. 

If you are planning to audition for THE SOUND OF MUSIC, please complete the audition application ahead of time (by 2 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024). Those without applications on file may not be permitted to audition for this production. The Audition Application is linked below under Resources.

Those planning to audition do not need prior theatre experience (as an actor or production team member); we are looking for positive, hard-working and dedicated individuals to join our cast and theatre company. 

Those auditioning need to prepare a song ahead of time for their vocal audition day; the requirements will be linked below. Those auditioning for the musical should complete the audition application in advance, read character bios and perhaps watch any production videos on YouTube (or streaming) in order to get a sense as to the characters and the plot. Character Bio Sheets and other important resources are linked below under Resources.

Please keep in mind that scheduling can (and most likely will) change based on VBCPS, OLHS, OLTC, as well as the needs of the particular production. Keep communication open with your parental figures, and remember to remain flexible and positive at all times. 

Ensure that you are balancing your home life, academic life, and your involvement with  this production. Many people are counting on you to HONOR YOUR COMMITMENT.

Note: Although the directors try not to alter the rehearsal schedule, dates and times could change based upon a number of factors. Cast and Production Team members are tasked to check Canvas Announcements, Email and this website daily for any changes.


The Musical First Read-Through and some Rehearsal dates may be adjusted based on VHSL One-Act Competition status.

** Cast and Crew are required to report for this call time / performance by 11 am in order to take cast and crew photos


Your "call times" are always 2 hours before a performance. Example: you show up at 5:00 pm to get ready for a show that begins at 7 pm unless your hair / makeup needs dictate the requirement of an earlier call time; please discuss and plan your hair / makeup needs with the Hair / Makeup Manager and / or one of the adult company directors. Plan rides to and from call times / performances ahead of time; be on time (or early).
