Establish and refine a Telework program.
Work with Senior Team and CWA union to develop an ongoing telework program.
Develop career paths and succession planning for employees.
Provide resources to supervisors with regards to their career interests and progression
Train supervisors, including faculty (e.g. department chairs, program directors) and those who supervise student employees.
Determine how to best support supervisors through training (what training is needed); develop programs to provide support to supervisors of all employee types.
Formalize employee relations functions to provide a clear source of support for workplace conflict.
Hire an experienced Labor Relations/Employee Relations professional and introduce to the college community so they are aware of the resource. Create working documents to refer managers/supervisors/employees to the various techniques of dealing with workplace conflict.
Expand and continuously improve the professional development program for Vassar employees.
Enhance employees' leadership, operational, and professional knowledge by offering Professional Development training and resources to Administrator and Staff employees. We will look into expanding this development program to Service and Security employees.
Streamline and automate the annual performance review process.
The Annual Performance Review process will transition from paper to a digital process within the Workday system. This transition will streamline the process with digital signatures, and provide employees, managers, and Human Resources with improved record-keeping.
