Trading Journal (Pro only)

Varcity's trading journal will automatically log every trade and provide analytics on both a trade basis and an overall portfolio basis. Having the ability to analyze your trading strategy, risk management, and overall psychology will help you build a solid trading foundation. Varcity's automated trading journal is only available on Pro accounts. 

Your trading journal will track and provide you the following metrics on all your trading activity, sorted by most recent:

• Symbol 

• Status 

• Side

• Open date

• Open time 

• Open price

• Close date 

• Close time 

• $ Return - overall $ return calculated on the trade

• % Return - overall % return calculated on the trade

• VTI - impact of trade activity on overall portfolio* at the time of the trade

• Risk adj. return - impact of trade activity on portfolio risk adjusted returns at the time of the trade

• Sharpe ratio - impact of trade activity on portfolio Sharpe Ratio at the time of the trade

• Sortino ratio - impact of trade activity on portfolio Sortino Ratio at the time of the trade

• Volatility - impact of trade activity on portfolio volatility at the time of the trade

• Turnover rate - impact of trade activity on portfolio turnover rate at the time of the trade

• Market value - impact of trade activity on portfolio market value at the time of the trade

Trading journals can be downloaded at anytime in PDF or CSV format.

*Your VTI may or may not increase with each trade depending on how it impacts your overall portfolio, and how your trade ranks relative to the Varcity Network.
