Open Doors is a re-engagement program that serves credit deficient students ages 16 to 21 who are at risk of not graduating. (16th birthday must be before September 1 of current school year.)
Students develop a personalized educational program specific to their academic and job goals.
Open Doors at Heights Campus is a competency-based instruction model that students access through an inquiry process.. Open Doors opportunities also focus on real-life skills such as personal finance, completing job applications, work-based learning and other independent living skills.
Students are required to attend an on site scheduled 2.5 hours session with the advising teacher a minimum of once every week.
Students with individualized education plans maybe required to be onsite for additional time to meet their Individualized Education Plan goals.
