Vocabulary is made up of words we recognize or use in print.
Students should be adding to their vocabulary all the time. Vocabulary is important piece in improving reading comprehension.
Some skills that help build and support vocabulary are Greek/Latin roots, prefixes/suffixes, context clues, synonyms, antonyms, and studying multiple-meaning words. Dictionary skills also help with expanding vocabulary.
