Does our base suppression system not quite fit your printer setup?
Create Your Own Layout
Want to design your own system? No problem! Our system is designed to make modifications as easy as possible. Whether you want to make minor modifications, or you want to build your own system from scratch, you've come to the right place.
Whatever your project, here are some helpful tips to keep in mind:
The first step is to determine how many printers you want to protect, and the size of the space you are using. This will help determine how many groups of printers you have and what length of piping you'll need
Take a look at our base Suppression System and our System Assembly guide for inspiration and to get a better idea of how the FireOff system works
The FireOff suppression system protects printers arranged in straight lines in groups of 3 to 5. You will need at least two microcontrollers no matter the size of your farm (one parent and one child). Each child microcontroller can handle up to 9 groups of printers, so make sure you get enough controllers for your farm.
For example, a farm with 100 printers arranged in groups of 5 would have 20 groups of printers. This would require 4 microcontrollers (1 parent and 3 children).
Don't forget the alarm, the emergency stop button, and the emergency start button. These are essential features for safety.
Minimum of one emergency stop and start button for each child controller. (One emergency start button for each group of printers is preferable)
Each group of printers should have at least the following:
Five pound CO2 Tank
Pressure regulator and air hose
Motorized ball valve
Appropriate piping, including T-connectors, nozzles, and an end cap.
At least one smoke detector (although more is safer).
A way to mount components above the printers (the FireOff housing container is recommended)
