System Assembly

Welcome to the FireOff Assembly Manual! The PowerPoint below contains step-by-step instructions of how to assemble a FireOff Fire Suppression System. The FireOff system was designed to utilize Arduino-brand microcontrollers because they are easy to program and easy to replace. The microcontrollers that come with your system will be pre-programmed, but just in case you need to reset your code, replace the controllers, or you want to modify the code yourself, just follow these easy steps:

1. Download the latest version of the Arduino IDE (or use the online Web IDE) here.
2. Once the IDE is setup, connect the microcontroller you wish to program to your computer using a USB-B cable.
3. Copy and Paste the appropriate code file (included electronically with any FireOff system purchase) into the IDE.
   • If you can't find your copy of the code file, please Contact Us. We'll be happy to help!
   • If you wish to make any modifications to the code (adjustments to time delays, changing pin usage, etc.), do that before Step 4.
4. In the IDE, Verify that the code is ready to go, and Upload it to the board.
   • These functions are located in the upper left corner of the IDE.

And once you've done those 4 steps, you're Arduino should be ready to go.
