Daily Student Expectations:
Uniform Tops - below waistline in length. Clothing must be of proper fit.
Uniform Bottoms - worn at the waistline. Clothing must be of proper fit.
Clothing must be absent of design or pattern other than sweatshirts or uniform T-shirts purchased from the Vallivue Middle School Spirit Wear Store. Manufactured Logo (1) that is 2 inches or less is acceptable.
All uniform pieces should be cleaned and maintained in good condition; no holes, stains, rips, fringes, or loose hems and must fit the student.
No visible undergarments or fishnet stockings
Tops: Polo/Collared Dress Shirt (long or short sleeve, only 2 buttons undone) or Sweatshirt:
Solid color of Brown, Gold, Grey, White, or Black.
Undershirts (long- or short-sleeved), in solid colors of Brown, Gold, Grey, White, or Black, may be worn under polo shirts, shirts, or sweatshirts.
Approved Vallivue Shirts can be purchased from VMS.
One logo that is 2 inches or less is acceptable. All tops worn below the waistline.
Sweatshirts may not be worn as an undershirt; Only one sweatshirt may be worn at a time
No Zippered Sweatshirts
Vallivue High School sweatshirt in solid black, grey, brown, or Tan/Gold meets the uniform policy. Must be purchased from Vallivue High School or Vallivue Middle School Spirit Wear Store.
Bottoms: Slacks/Pants/Shorts/Skirts/Capris -
Solid color of khaki, brown, black or gray - NO BLUE JEANS or Blue Denim
Uniform bottoms may not be tight or baggy/oversized and must be worn at the waistline.
No stretch pants, leggings as an outer layer, jeggings, fishnet, sweatpants, athletic shorts, or oversized shorts.
Dresses,skirts,shorts/skorts: touching the top of the knee or longer, no exceptions (regardless of tights or leggings)
Leggings/tights worn under uniform length bottoms only: solid color of khaki, black, brown, white
Note:
Belt buckle must be a plain standard buckle, no dangling belts
Backpack/purse must be kept in a locker
Shoes must be worn (must have hard soles)
Beanies, caps, hats, ties, scarves, sunglasses, and gloves may not be worn in the building
Outerwear (jackets/coats) may be any color; may not be worn in the building
Not Allowed on Campus:
No trench coats or bandanas
Chains, Spikes, jewelry that is dangerous or deemed unsafe.
Professional sports attire/gear
No drug/alcohol/tobacco, or gang related attire
NON-UNIFORM DAYS – when announced by Administration
School-appropriate, modest attire; uniform guidelines apply
No Tight-fitting/ or revealing tops
No holes above the knee on pants or shorts
Shoulders must be covered with solid fabric
All tops worn below the waistline (regardless of a shirt underneath)
No stretch pants, leggings as an outer layer, or jeggings
No pajamas or bedroom slippers
Professional sports attire/gear is not allowed on campus
CONSEQUENCES: If a student wears clothing that does not meet the dress code, he/she will be provided with approved clothing and sent back to class. If clothing item(s) are not available, he/she may be required to call home and have appropriate clothing brought to him/her. Uniform Infraction slip will be sent home with the student for a parent/guardian signature. Lunch detention will be given for any slip not returned. Any student who receives 2 or more uniform infractions between Non-Uniform days will be ineligible to participate.
