If you are using a Chromebook and you would like to print your document from it, but don't have a printer added, you'll want to follow these steps.
If you are using Google Docs or Google Sheets, click on the print icon in the toolbar area. If you don't have a print icon where you're trying to print from, you can press the "CTRL" and "P" buttons on your keyboard and the print menu will pop up.
Select the Print Destination Box
Click on "See More"
Click on "Manage Printers"
Click on "Add Printer Manually"
Under "Name", type in what you would like your printer to be called. It can be anything. Typically we name them by school site, room number and model number.
Under "Address" type in the IP Address of the printer you want to print to. You will find this number on the printer itself. It will look something like the picture above.
After you have entered in both the "Name" and "Address" click on "Add" at the bottom right
After that you should see your printer listed. The green dot indicates that the chromebook can detect the printer and you can start printing
Now we want to close all of those windows and go back to the beginning. Click on the print icon again or "CTRL" and "P".
Click on the Print Destination Box again.
Click on "See More"
Select your newly added printer
You're all set!
