Depending on the school and classroom, projectors can be turned on in one of two ways: either with a remote control or through a FrontRow touch panel mounted on the wall.
While the district strives for consistency across all school sites, classroom technology setups may vary. Nearly every classroom is equipped with an Epson projector, but the connection method can differ.
Some projectors are hardwired using an HDMI cable, while others connect wirelessly through the Epson iProjection app on the teacher’s computer.
Locate the Epson projector remote, usually found near the teacher’s desk or workstation.
Point the remote at the projector and press the Power button once.
Wait a few seconds for the projector to warm up — the light will turn blue when it’s ready.
If the image doesn’t appear:
Make sure the computer is on and connected (via HDMI cable or iProjection).
Check that the projector input source matches the connection (e.g., HDMI 1).
Locate the FrontRow touch panel on the wall near the teacher’s desk or classroom door.
Tap the screen to wake it up, then select Sys On
Choose the correct input source (usually labeled HDMI).
Wait for the projector to power up — the light will turn blue when ready.
If the touch panel does not respond, the projector can still be turned on manually using the remote.
💬 Pro Tip: When in doubt, look for the blue light on the projector — it indicates the device is powered on and ready.
💬 Pro Tip: Always turn off the projector (via the remote or touch panel) at the end of the day to extend bulb life.
💬 Pro Tip: If neither method works, contact the Head Secretary — they can reach the school’s technology support for assistance.
