“Facebook can be an incredibly useful tool when used well. I am a student leader in a student-led organization on campus, where all of our organization’s communication occurs over Facebook/Facebook Messenger. This is where vital information, updates, and links are shared for me to then share out with those I lead. Furthermore, all our communication occurs over Messenger, to where any level of effective and quick communication would be mitigated without it. Facebook has served as an incredibly useful tool for my time in the student organization.”
"Facebook was an amazing resource for me to connect between communities, but had its negatives. Community pages are designed to give updates about important events or news. However, when you are the news, you realize how little choice you have in the matter. This case was a flipped vehicle of mine after a medical incident. There was a post of the vehicle flipped with the license plate in view, showing it was obviously my families vehicle. This post led to negative assumptions in comments and an experience where it shows how hard it is to censor social media graphic images and to retain privacy."
