Standard 1: Content & Foundational Knowledge

While teaching a throwing and catching unit, it's important to take into consideration the time of the year and adapt lesson themes to various holidays, special events, or traditions. Before students left early for their Halloween Break, we all dressed up and adapted our throwing stations lesson with a Halloween Tag warm-up, Ghost Pin Knock Down, and Halloween Moving Targets (Pumpkins, Ghosts, etc.) Attached is a picture of us, field study students, dressed up for Halloween, and our lesson plan!

Standard 2: Skillfulness & Health-Related Fitness

I believe that physical education teachers should lead by example! That involves being active every day and seeking out various opportunities to remain active throughout our lives. Some of my favorite forms of activity include: volleyball, pickleball, yoga, walking, and kayaking!

Above is a Parachute Lesson Plan, my class, Peprof 222, created and implemented it for the students at the Campus Childcare Center! Attached is my interpretation and development of the lesson plan, ensuring it has clear lesson objectives and is appropriate/relevant for the age group/range we were working with!

Above, and to the left (lesson plan in the middle), are lesson plans developed for Peer Teaching. Lesson plans help instructors by providing organization, structure, contingency plans, classroom management strategies, and anticipated accommodations for a variety of things, including student needs, abilities, and safety.

Standard 4: Instructional Delivery & Management

Above is a lesson plan developed in class, with a group, in which we focused our instruction on implementing transitions, routines, and positive behavior management. Alongside this lesson plan is the reflection upon completion of the lesson, in which we all reflected on different elements/aspects of the lesson, and proposed what we could improve in the lesson for next time!

Above is a psychomotor domain-based assessment (peer evaluation) that taught students the correct form for passing (bumping) a volleyball.

Above is an affective domain-based assessment (self-assessment exit slip) allowing students to reflect on their participation, engagement, and effort in the Basketball activity (Tournament).

Standard 6: Professional Responsibility

Attached is my stance on why becoming a member of WHPE (Wisconsin Health and Physical Education) is so important! I believe becoming a part of this organization is essential for aspiring teachers and current teachers to continuously learn and grow from various perspectives and insights.
