Health Literacy Slideshow: This slideshow depicts the 8 Health Standards, as well as takeaways from course instruction and Peer Teaching experiences that better my characteristics and qualities as a future educator. This slideshow demonstrates my development in understanding essential health concepts and core content.

Lesson Plans from left to right are the Unit Plan/Rationale/Lesson Plan(s) for A Bullying Curriculum, Healthy Relationships Lesson Plan (Day 1 of Human Growth and Development), and an Introduction to Advocacy Lesson (Field Experience Lesson). These were used as a planning/guide to help deliver a purposeful lesson. Having lesson plans facilitates intentional teaching!

Above are slide shows used to accompany the lesson plans. Slideshows from left to right are unit slides for the bullying curriculum (Unit Plan - Accessible in Standard 2: Planning), Healthy Relationships Lesson (Materials Provided -and adapted- from Sun Prairie School District), and an Introduction to Advocacy Lesson (Field Experience Lesson). These were used to support diverse learning styles, reinforce key concepts, enhance engagement and focus, and support scaffolding and differentiation.

Above is the assessment used for the Safe Habits Lesson. Students will use this assessment to reflect on their learning and the long-lasting impact, what they will remember most, and their key takeaway from this lesson.

Above is the assessment used for the Advocacy - Recycling. Students will use this assessment to cultivate their learning and demonstrate their overall understanding of what they learned and what they need to remember, hold on to after the lesson is over.

Use of Assessment(s): The use of assessment is an important tool because it provides measurable insight into one's learning process and progress. Assessments inform instructors of any gaps or strengths of students and their understanding after the lesson; thus, the instructor can modify or adjust the lesson to better fit students' needs.

This slideshow depicts my take on a community and engagement gap, with a corresponding solution, or action plan, that could be implemented at one of my Field Experiences - Lake Mills Middle School. This slideshow identifies the gap, while reflecting on an interview I conducted with the School Nurse, and how I would go about addressing this concern, while proposing a potential solution.
