Our Teaching Approach is Hybrid
At UWS, we are working towards implementing a new approach to learning and teaching, what we can a hybrid approach.
This is designed to provide the ‘best of both worlds’ BUT which weighs more towards on-campus learning and teaching, supplemented by accessible online activities and content.
Our cutting-edge digital learning platform, Aula, gives students access to learning materials, such as videos, readings and podcasts, as well as the online community on each module - wherever they are.
Whether at home, elsewhere or on campus, our flexible and dynamic teaching and learning is aimed at fitting around our students’ busy lifestyles as much as possible.

Although UWS has five campuses in Paisley, Lanarkshire, Ayr, Dumfries and London, our HRM provisions are currently only offered at our Paisley campus.

Our On-campus Accommodation
Here at our Paisley campus, we offer student accommodation right on campus. This is probably the easiest and most convenient way to secure accommodation when you join us. This will not only ensure that you have a safe new home near your campus, but it is most liekly be the best way of making acquaintances with new people and make friends for life. We offer various types of accommodation - from only £115/week (subject to change) -- including barrier-free flats/rooms:
Storie Street residences (pictured): located right at the heart of our Paisley Campus, with easy access to teaching facilities, the Students' Union and Paisley town centre. Each flat houses four to six students in large en-suite bedrooms with a shared kitchen and lounge area.
George Street and Lady Lane residences: traditional tenement flats are available on George Street and Lady Lane in Paisley, comprising of one or two study bedrooms and a communal kitchen/lounge area.

At UWS, we are here for our students. This is also reflected in the various support mechanisms we have in place, including some information about UWS, support mechanisms that help you getting started and those you will have access during your time with us.
We also provide our new and continuing students with all the information they need for their welcome (back) & induction sessions in September and January (MSc only).
