Below are the Sight Word Flash Cards. Students on levels A-K will read through the flash cards at the beginning of each tutoring session.
Each student will have one minute to read through the flash cards to help make reading more fluent. As the student reads as many sight words as they can, the tutor will make one pile for words read correct and one pile for words read incorrect or not known. After the minute is up, the tutor will go over unknown words with the student.
Change the order of the sight word cards each time so that your student is being exposed to all of the sight words and they are not memorizing an order of words.
Students will continue to have sight words as long as they are on levels A-K. The goal is to read more words correct with each tutoring session with an ultimate goal to read all 100 words in one minute by the time they move onto a higher level than K.
Keep track of the student's progress, how many words read correct and how many errors, on the lesson plan.
