We have now started our normal timetable, but every lesson will be taught remotely, so it can be accessed online. Teachers may decide not to have face to face lessons all the time, but might set work and use the scheduled lesson as a drop in session for smaller groups of students to minimize screen time. Some subjects, such as the languages, need more face to face time than others.
CAS: The activities will be starting soon, but we will be offering on campus service until at least October. The CAS fair will be held remotely, but students will design their CAS programme as normal.
Dear DP1 students,
This term, we have decided not to run a formal assessment week, as we did in previous years. The reason for this is that we are aware that remote learning is difficult for some, and we don't want anyone to be disadvantaged by the current situation.
Alternatively, we will be looking towards having continuous assessment, meaning that you will be graded on a number of smaller assignments in each subject, and your term grade will be made up of a variety of graded work; the details will depend on the subject. You will have your first formal exam at the end of the year, in April. that will also be the time for your first anticipated grade - more information on that below.
As always – please get in touch if you have any further questions.
Sophie
Here's a link to the presentation with a voiceover - it's long, so you might prefer the powerpoint slides on their own - see below.
