Activities

Ongoing Activities

The department has a number of activities on a weekly basis with the aim of getting postgraduate students, researchers and staff to interact regularly with each other. These include :

• Monday tea, where students and staff are able to chat over tea (or coffee).

• Wednesday research meetings, where postgraduate students present updates on their research. This allows students to practice their presentation skills amongst a crowd of familiar faces.

• Friday seminars given by researchers from either the discipline of physics or astronomy. See the Seminars page for more details.
