Hemodynamics Case 1
A 65 year old woman who has suffered a type A aortic dissection, is in the OR for ascending aorta repair. Following induction of general anesthesia, the blood pressure falls to 65/35 and is poorly responsive to vasopressors and multiple fluid boluses. A TEE probe is inserted and the following is seen.
