Limitations
In our initial draft, we had more features than what was present in the high-fidelity prototype. These features would have added another level of cohesiveness to our app, including the integration of UW's DawgPath data, professor data, and the ability to respond to other students' comments. These features were cut in order to showcase the most relevant features of the app which include the AI chatbot and the ability to see and review courses. The amount of time was not sufficient enough to implement these secondary features, which was a trade-off we made to ensure that the important features were included in the final project.
Future Plan
In the future, we hope to expand upon the AI chatbot's ability to recommend courses based on working hours and predicted course load. We hope to add the missing features mentioned above as well. Our overall end goal for this app is to effectively integrate many existing resources, which we have done somewhat successfully, but with notable missing features like professor rating and DawgPath information.
