Program Fee

Students participating in Engineering Italy pay a program fee in lieu of tuition in Autumn Quarter. The program fee covers the cost of instruction and credits, housing, and program activities such as excursions and tours. Students will also be charged the UW Study Abroad Fee. The program fee and UW Study Abroad Fee will be charged to the UW student account and must be paid by the tuition payment deadline for Autumn Quarter. Keep in mind that no UW tuition will be charged for the program quarter.

Updated cost information for Autumn Quarter 2022 will be available soon. For reference, the estimated cost and budget information for the proposed 2021 program is available below.

Additional Expenses

The program fee does not cover additional expenses such as international airfare, food, personal spending, student abroad insurance, passport/visa fees, etc. These costs will vary for each student but we provide an estimate of these costs below to help with planning.
