TIPS FROM OUR RECRUITMENT CHAIR,
EMMA B!
be YOURSELF ...we want to get to know each individual girl to the best of our ability!
Enjoy the process! This is all about getting to know people at your new school + finding the house that will become your home for the next 4 years!
Virtual recruitment is new for EVERYBODY! We are all a bit nervous for this new process, so don't sweat it!
NATALIE BARTON, an incoming sophomore has some tips for incoming freshman....
"Stay true to who you are and trust yourself! As cliché as it sounds, everything will work out exactly how it's supposed to - you will find the group of girls that fully see you and fully accept you. Lean into the process, relax, and don't be afraid to talk about the things most important to you!"
CAROLINE BAYLIS
A recent grad's take on recruitment...
"I was hesitant to go through the process when I arrived at TU 4 years ago. After talking to the girls at Chi O, I immediately realized this was the place to be. I was looking for authentic girls who I could spend my college years with. When I arrived at Chi Omega, I saw women who were genuine and supportive. I saw women who would accept me for who I was. Saying 'yes' to Chi Omega was the best decision I made at TU and it's a decision that will benefit me for the rest of my life. I am surrounded by girls that make me laugh, challenge me, support me, and make college feel like home. Little did I know, that I would not only meet my best friends in college, but friends that I know will last forever."
SOPHIE ZEHENTNER, recruitment team member
"When I graduated high school, my friends would joke that I was the least likely to be involved in Greek Life. I was in total agreement with them and thought Greek Life wasn’t for me. Fast forward to orientation week, and somehow I was convinced to sign up for recruitment. At first, I thought I would be happy in any house if I just got to be myself. Theoretically that statement is true. But I would never be my true self if I had not run home to Chi Omega three years ago. The women in Chi Omega have encouraged me to go past my comfort zone and pushed me to never settle. My sisters have given me love, strength, and support for the past three years. Chi O’s six purposes and the women at TU who uphold those purposes have shaped me into someone that high school me would be proud of. My advice is to go through recruitment and find people you know will help you grow into the best version of yourself."
A MESSAGE FROM MISS PREZ.......
"Get excited for recruitment and don’t stress! It is so exciting and fun! Just enjoy making new friends down the row and always remember to be yourself! We are all so excited to meet you!"
-ERIKA WARD, Chi Omega President
