After you complete the required course readings, work on these two assignments. DO NOT spend more than 2 hours working on these, but you should make an effort to refer back to the readings as you complete these so that you are as prepared for Friday's discussion as possible.
1. Complete this google form (which was the optional homework) to select problem types and represent solution strategies for multiplication and division in three different ways.
2. In your own words, write a brief summary of what multiplication and division mean if they are used for (1) equal grouping; (2) multiplicative comparison; (3) combination; and (4) array and area. Bring these summaries to our discussion so that you can reference them.
3. Complete both parts of this card sort. Note that you DO NOT need to create an account. You can click "join" on the first screen and "continue without signing in on the second screen". Sort the cards by dragging one card to another card or group of cards, and they will make a group. You can join more than 2 cards (and you'll need to in the second part). BONUS CHALLENGE: Sort the equal grouping problems in part 2 into smaller groups based on problem types.
4. Talk with your partner about your preference for completing the major assignment. Let me know what you decide so that I know what type of feedback would be most useful for you. Submit your response on google classroom.
