For each learning standard, there is a brief description of what the standard means, in relation to being a well-prepared beginning teachers of mathematics. There are also indicators for each standard to give you some examples of what you should know or be able to do if you are meeting expectations for the standard. Explore some of the additional information provided in the links as necessary to get a sense of what it would mean to demonstrate your learning for each standard.
You might also find it helpful to review the programmatic standards that are linked to each learning objective for major course assignments.
Review the feedback that you received for each major assignment. You'll noticed that this feedback is already connected to specific learning standards (1-4) for the course. Look across the feedback and your work on the assignments and think about these questions for standards 1-4:
If you feel it is necessary, you can also provide additional evidence from other course activities (e.g., in-class activities, work in your internship classroom, etc.) to show that you have met or exceeded expectations for learning standards 1-4. Many of the in-class activities are also linked explicitly to the learning standards for the course.
For learning standard 5, consider all major assignments, weekly engagements, and class participation and be prepared to provide evidence of how you have demonstrated this learning standard.
