The following are free, online calculators suggested for instructors and students of Math 123. These calculators can be used for in-class and homework assignments; they are not permitted on exams.
Desmos offers scientific and graphing calculators.
Warning: When graphing inequalities with the Desmos graphing calculator, Desmos shades the region that is “true” (i.e. the “feasible region” or “solution set”). Instructors and students using the block-out method should be aware that this is different from the block-out method, which shades the region that is “false.”
The TVM Solver can be used to solve financial problems.
The Pivot & Gauss-Jordan Tool can perform row operations, solve problems using Gauss-Jordan elimination, and solve linear programming problems.
Symbolab can perform a variety of mathematical computations. In Math 123, we suggest using Symbolab to perform matrix operations (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication).
