Ethics represent the moral code that guides a person's choices and behaviors throughout their life which extends beyond the individual to include what is determined to be right, and wrong, for a community or society at large.
Ethics is concerned with rights, responsibilities, and use of language. It is a subjective concept, that can vary from person to person, religion to religion, and culture to culture.
This training is designed to guide you to self-reflect on your own actions as an educator, to STOP, THINK and REFLECT before you act.
The information in each module is a blending of the Model Code of Ethics for Educators (MCEE), Professional Competencies, Attitudes, and Dispositions (ProCADs), InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards, and TN Code of Ethics.
Throughout this introduction, you will look at each topic. In the training modules, you will see how these topics overlap.
