The professional educator promotes the health, safety and well-being of students by establishing and maintaining appropriate verbal, physical, emotional and social boundaries. Our students deserve a professional attitude that is always seeking what it best for them.
The overwhelming majority of educators exercise their fiduciary responsibilities with care and conviction. The few who breach their duties, however, undermine the profession and leave a trail of devastation, particularly with student victims.
Creating and supporting safe, productive learning environments that result in learners achieving at the highest levels is a teacher's primary responsibility.
