A1: You may refer to the faculty website and WBLE (main) at the industrial training section.
Q2: When is the official internship offer in a year?
A2: Officially, internship is offer in short trimester (i.e. Oct) for all programmes except Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Accounting which is offer in two trimesters (24 weeks across one long and one short trimesters, i.e. Oct-Jan or May – Oct)
Q3: When normally the internship briefings are conducted in every trimester?
A3:
a. Week 2, week 7, and week 13 in long trimester.
b. Week 2, 5, and week 7 in short trimester.
Q4: When is the industry training eligible name list will be released?
A4: Industrial Training pre-requisite require students to have earned 60 credit hours or above, with GPA and CGPA both 2.0 or above in the result of one trimester before reporting to company. (i.e. if student is reporting to company on Oct trimester, then, jan trimester result will determine the eligibility of students of Oct trimester internship).
The industry training eligible name list will be released by week 2 on every trimester.
Students required to check the list in order to determine whether they are qualified to attend internship in subsequent trimester
Q5: What if my name is not appeared in the internship eligible name list but I have fulfilled the pre-requisite of the industry training course?
A5: You may send an email to the personnel’s whose name is provided in the eligible list to verify your eligibility.
Q6: When the internship students can start their registration in the Industrial Training Management Portal?
A6: Students can start register in Industrial training management Portal after memo release in WBLE around Week 4 of every trimester.
Q7: Can I postpone my internship?
A7: Students are required to consult respective Programme Industrial Training Coordinators for their advice.
Q8: Who should I submit the offer letter?
A8: You may submit your company’s offer letter to the respective programme industrial training coordinator for their recommendation and approval.
