Q1: How can I know which course is offered in which trimester?
A1: Students can refer to the Master List Offering (https://fbf.utar.edu.my/Masterlist-2021.php) at FBF Website.
Q2: There is not enough seat available for my course during pre-registration period, what should I do?
A2: The capacity of course registration is based on first come first serve basis. If you are a Final Year & Final Trimester student, may write in to appeal during 1st week of trimester start. On the other hand, some or all the seats for a particular class are reserved for students from specific programmes. Hence, if you require to register for this class then you will need to consult your HoD or your advisor.
Q3: Why I always cannot bid for the course I want?
A3: Depending on the courses offered, the available slot will open at the end of the pre-registration period hence you may have to try again during the first and second week of the next trimester.
Q4: My subject is clashing. What should I do?
A4: Please reschedule your timetable namely by replacing some other courses. Students may contact their Head of Department (HoD) if the timetable cannot be changed.
If you are a Final Year & Final Trimester student, you may submit a formal letter addressed it to your respective HoD and pass it to FGO. The Faculty will also release a memo about this matter.
Q5: I am a new student, according to my student bill, I should be taking 5 courses in long semester but UTAR Portal only show 4 courses. What should I do?
A5: Please contact FGO on the extension nos. of 1030 / 1031 during office hours for further clarifications.
Q6: I am a new student, according to my student bill, there is an elective course that I am supposed to register. How should I do it?
A6: Students are required to fill in an add drop / form and submit to FGO to register for elective course.
