Merci Collins-Hase has passion for singing and performing in musical theatre!  She holds a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Nevada, Reno and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University.  

Although she grew up in Northern Utah, she and her  3 incredible kids lived in Southern California long enough to call Huntington Beach and Disneyland home.  

Merci has taught voice and piano lessons privately for over 20 years and is excited to join Utah Online Schools and share her love of music with so many new students!

Some favorite roles she has played are Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz and Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music at Sundance Summer Theatre, Miss Jones in How to Succeed in Business and Mrs. Squires in The Music Man at Hale Center Theater, Orem. A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Phoebe), The Addams Family (Morticia), Mary Poppins (Winifred Banks), My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle), Noises Off (Dotty Otley), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), The Sound of Music (Maria), The Importance of Being Earnest (Gwendolyn Fairfax), Clue, the Musical (Miss Scarlett), City of Angels (Gabby/Bobbi), and The Music Man (Marian).
