¡Bienvenido a la clase de Cultura de doble inmersión!
In this course, students will compare and contrast individual and collective perspectives on the structures that constitute a society by examining pre-Columbian civilizations (before 1491). Students will utilize all modes of communication (interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational) to build skills in cultural-linguistic competencies necessary for successful communication with native speakers. Students will utilize media and authentic texts to discuss the diverse cultural products, practices, and perspectives of the Spanish-speaking world. This class is part of our Spanish immersion program, and thus, Spanish will be used exclusively by the instructor and students during instruction, interaction, and work.
