Systemic Treatments

Systemic treatments are identified statewide by the Traffic & Safety Division. These treatments enable the department to improve safety in the locations where a fatal or serious injury crash is most likely to occur. Currently a Roadway/Lane Departure systemic story map is available. Please click the Roadway/ Lane Departure Crashes button below to review the story map and information about rumble strips, horizontal curve mitigtations, raised medians, median barrier, and enhanced pavement friction treatments (EPFT). Click the Intersection Improvements button to view various treatments for intersections across the state.
