Conserve Pollinators in Utah with the Power of Data

Both bumble bee and monarch populations have seen widespread population declines in recent years. However, without extensive information on the species, it’s difficult for wildlife managers, conservation organizations, and other groups to plan for their conservation needs.

Our volunteers fill crucial gaps in understanding of these sensitive species, making effective conservation possible.

How to Get Involved

There are two ways you can contribute to the conservation of Utah's pollinator populations:

Complete a Habitat Assessment

With this option, you’ll choose or be matched with a specific site to visit, preferably 2-3 times during the season. This provides crucial information on pollinator habitat and makes conservation planning possible.

Record Pollinator Sightings

This is the easiest way to conserve Utah's monarchs and bumblebees. Just download the Survey123 app and use it to record encounters with bumble bees and monarchs—anywhere you see them!
