Out-and-About Surveys
An easy way to conserve pollinators is to use your phone to record information when you see bumble bees, monarchs, and pollinator habitat. This can be anywhere—whether you’re out hiking, on your farm, in your neighborhood, or driving and spot something along the road!
These surveys provide information that is vital to the conservation of our pollinators. Get started today by following the steps below.
How to Contribute Pollinator Conservation Data
1. Learn the Basics
Review the Survey Protocols and attend our spring training or watch the training recording to learn about project practices and tools.
2. Download the App
Download the Survey123 App onto your phone. Instructions and a helpful training video are available here.
3. Log the Data
Log the data on the app whenever you encounter monarchs or bumble bees. Remember to send data in when back in cell service!
