How to edit the template

Make a copy using Canva

• To access our door hanger template you will need to create a free Canva account. 

• Then, pick which file you want:

Adding a website link (make it short!)

Link to your website where customers can find the survey, or create a short link directly to your survey. 

Customers prefer short links over long ones because they are easier to type into a browser.

Example: YourWaterSystem.com/survey

• How to make a short link
  Use Bitly.com to create a short URL for your long survey URL for free.
  Note: bitly short links are case sensitive. 

How to make a QR code

• Go here to make a QR code image you can insert into the letter.

• QR codes make it easier for customers to navigate to a page. 

• If you use a QR code, you should also include a short link next to it in case customers can't scan the code, or don't want to scan it.

How to add the QR code image file

• Drag and drop the image file from your computer right into the design.

• Resize it and position it over the yellow square frame.

How to download your customized file

1. Click the "Share" button at top right within your design in Canva

2. In that menu, click "Download" near the bottom

3. Choose which file type you need. Check with your printing service to find out what file type that is. Usually, a PDF will work. 

4. Download the file and use that to get it professionally printed.

Professional printing options

• Online print service
  Upload the PDF file to an online printing service. Online options can offer convenient pricing and delivery.

• Local print shop
  Contact an in-person print shop. Print shops allow for face-to-face assistance if there are difficulties.
