The NSTP CWTS Fieldwork is an off-campus activity designed to enhance your skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating service-learning activities within our university's partner communities.
Grounded in the objectives outlined in your NSTP e-Read Chapters 1, 2, and 3, this service-learning engagement concentrates on raising awareness about human rights and advocating for equality, freedom, and social justice within our community partners. Through this engagement, you will empower community members with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to recognize and assert their fundamental rights, fostering an environment where dignity, respect, and fairness are upheld for all. This initiative aims to actively contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights, thereby building a more inclusive and rights-respecting society.
While waiting for the food, each group will conduct a workshop.
At the end of the activity, NSTP CWTS students will be able to:
1. NSTP CWTS Students will be able to accurately compute the BMI of children aged 6-12 years old, demonstrating the ability to apply the formula and interpret results with 90% accuracy in a simulated classroom setting.
2. NSTP CWTS Students will be able to design an interactive workshop on a specific human rights topic for children aged 6-12 years old, demonstrating the ability to develop engaging activities and materials that promote understanding and respect during a 2-hour session.
