THEORY OF ARCHITECTURE 1

Theory of Architecture 1 has been a very enjoyable and entertaining subject because I learned so many topics through lectures and activities. The class lectures are very lively and fun because of the examples and small games between lessons. On the other hand, the activities are thought-provoking because we need to apply what we have learned from the lecture discussions. This subject is one of the unique ones because of the variety of topics discussed relating to architecture. It helps you understand why things are the way it is, and how they’re connected. This subject also helped me do better at other subjects by understanding principles and theories in architecture. However, the downside is that for me, it feels like we haven’t had many synchronous class discussions because many of the lectures are just uploaded in the Blackboard for us to watch asynchronously. I think that our class activities would be more fun in a face to face classes since we get to interact with each other more than in an online class. We could have a clearer understanding of the lectures if we had the face to face classes. I hope to learn more about the theory of architecture, so that I can design better buildings that suit the environment and people’s needs. I will miss the class jokes and activities, wish we could have more classes together again.
