BOOK-BORROWING POLICY
1. Students can borrow a maximum of two books at a time.
2. Standard circulation policies still apply except authorized parent/guardian must be the ones to claim and return the book/s.
3. There will be a penalty fee of Php 10.00/day beyond the due date.
4. The book/s should be returned in good condition just as it was before being borrowed, otherwise a fine or replacement with processing charges will be imposed.
5. Parents/guardians who will claim the book/s are obliged to observe proper health protocols. No facemask and no face shield, no claiming of books.
BORROWING PROCESS
1. The students will personally message the University of Southern Philippines JHS Mabini Library Facebook page for their needed resources. The page will be open within office hours (Monday to Friday at 8am to 5pm). On the same day, the librarian will give options for book titles that are related and relevant to their needs.
2. Once the student/s confirm that he/she will borrow the book/s, he/she will then inform the librarian of the needed information to be filled-in in the book card. The librarian will gladly fill-in the book card in his/her stead. The book/s can be picked-up the day after by an authorized parent/guardian.
3. A box will be provided solely for the books to be picked-up and it will be stationed near the guard house. To claim the book/s, the authorized guardian/parent will present a screenshot of the conversation between the student and the fb page, and the student’s library ID to prove that he/she is a bonafide constituent of the University.
RETURNING PROCESS
1. The students may borrow the book for 7 days and it shall be returned on or before the due date within office hours.
2. The books will be dropped on the designated drop box that is still near the guard house. The parent/guardian will sign the return slip provided.
