IS Alumni Homecoming by High School 1998

December  16,  2023

The University of St. La Salle (USLS) Silver Jubilarian High School Class of 1998 recently hosted a vibrant celebration, supported by the Center for Alumni Relations and the USLS Alumni Association, marking 25 years since their graduation. Amidst the picturesque campus, alumni gathered for a weekend of nostalgia and camaraderie, highlighted by a Thanksgiving Mass, recognition ceremony, a variety show in honor of their former teachers and a fellowship dinner. The event, meticulously orchestrated by the dedicated High School '98 headed by the USLSAA Presidnet Ar. Jackie Lou Azucena, exemplified the enduring bonds of the Lasallian community, fostering deep connections, celebrating achievements, and reaffirming the spirit of unity and fellowship that defines the legacy of USLS. 

College Alumni Homecoming and Alumni Party

December  9,  2023

On December 9, 2023, the Center for Alumni Relations (CARe) hosted a memorable College Alumni Homecoming, comprising two distinct yet interconnected parts. The afternoon event, spearheaded by CARe, welcomed alumni back to their alma mater, with each college - Nursing, Education, Business and Accountancy, Engineering, and Arts and Sciences - hosting its own gathering. Collaborating closely with student councils and supported by respective deans, the afternoon session not only fostered a sense of belonging and nostalgia but also included an enlightening alumni talk by Br. Normandy C. Dujunco FSC, DTheol, concurrent director of the Center for Alumni Relations office and the Vice Chancellor for Mission and Development. Additionally, the afternoon activity culminated in an uplifting alumni thanksgiving mass in collaboration with the Center for Lasallian Ministry.

Later in the evening, the USLS Alumni Association took the reins, organizing an alumni party that unfolded as a joyful fellowship dinner, complemented by entertainment provided by the talented artists from the university's Artists' Hub. Amidst laughter and camaraderie, the event also featured a special recognition of the 5-Year Jubilarian classes, an acknowledgment of the enduring ties between the university and its graduates facilitated by CARe. This dual-part event served as a vibrant celebration of the university's rich heritage and the enduring bonds forged within its alumni community.

To the College of Education Students’ CamP Alon: Waves of Truth lecture series

The College of Education Students' Camp Alon: Waves of Truth lecture series featured an enlightening session with distinguished alumni speakers, Ms. Honey Grape P. Catalan from the College Class of 1991 and Ms. Kynah Rhea B. Fuentes from the College Class of 2022. The event showcased a dynamic exchange of experiences, insights, and wisdom as the alumni guest speakers shared their respective journeys and perspectives. Ms. Catalan, representing the seasoned alumni, offered a wealth of knowledge garnered over the years, while Ms. Fuentes, a recent graduate, brought fresh insights and a contemporary outlook. The lecture series not only provided valuable guidance to the College of Education students but also served as a testament to the enduring connection and shared commitment of alumni to the development and success of future generations within the institution.

One La Salle Br. Rolly R. Dizon Perpetual Cup Alumni Golf Tournament 

November 18-19, 2023

The One La Salle Br. Rolly R. Dizon Perpetual Cup Alumni Golf Tournament, organized by the High School Class of 1998 to mark their Silver Jubilee at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club in coordination with USLS Alumni Association, was a remarkable celebration of La Salle's enduring spirit. Against the picturesque backdrop of the golf course, alumni from various batches competed for the coveted Br. Rolly R. Dizon Perpetual Cup, fostering a sense of camaraderie and nostalgia. Beyond the greens, the event provided a platform for heartfelt conversations, shared memories, and the expression of gratitude to their alma mater. The gala dinner that followed was a culmination of laughter, pride, and the reaffirmation of the strong La Salle community bonds, emphasizing the enduring legacy of Br. Rolly R. Dizon and the shared experiences that unite generations of alumni.

CDC: Mock Job Interview to Graduating Class

The Center for Alumni Relations is delighted to collaborate with and support the Career Development Center in their mock job interview activity for graduating students, featuring invited alumni as interviewers. This initiative embodies our commitment to providing valuable resources and guidance to students as they embark on their professional journeys. By engaging alumni who bring their real-world expertise and insights to the table, we aim to simulate authentic interview experiences and equip students with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in today's competitive job market. Through this collaborative effort, we foster meaningful connections between alumni and students while empowering the next generation of leaders to thrive in their chosen careers.
