Ben Bottorff is the Director of Academic Advising. He has 9 years of experience advising SOM undergraduate students on program requirements, course scheduling, and progress toward graduation.
Additionally, Ben plans students’ appropriate course loads, creates and updates advising materials, and evaluates coursework for transfer credit via course substitutions. He supports faculty, department chairs, and program assistants, and plays a huge role across campus in collaboration with other divisions including the Office of Undergraduate Admission, Athletics, International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), the Center for Academic and Student Achievement (CASA), and the Center for Global Education.
Over the years, Ben has supported and motivated college-level students as an economics instructor, academic adviser, and success coach. He completed his BA in Economics at UC Santa Cruz and his MA in International and Development Economics at USF. Ben leverages his past academic and professional experiences to help USF business students achieve their goals!
