The SOM UG Office determines the eligibility and manages the selection and review procedures for the administration of SOM undergraduate student awards including Valedictorian, commencement speakers, Dean’s Medal of Excellence, as well as the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.

The Valedictorian, Dean’s Medal of Excellence, Dean’s Service Award, and A.A. Berti Award for Outstanding Scholarship are presented every fall and spring to outstanding graduating students in the McLaren School of Management. Candidates for Valedictorian and Dean’s Medal of Excellence are invited to apply based on their eligibility while the A.A. Berti Award for Outstanding Scholarship is automatically presented to the graduating senior with the highest undergraduate record of scholarship in the McLaren School of Management. All graduating students are eligible to apply for the Dean’s Service Award.

Applications are carefully reviewed by the Dean’s Awards Review Committee.
