Mission
Our mission is to provide an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment for students with vision impairment and their families. Through recreational activities, skill-building opportunities, and community connection, we aim to foster confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging, ensuring that every participant can discover their potential and create lasting memories together.

Orientation & Mobility
June 8th-June 12th 2026
Ages: 12+
TIME: @9am-5pm
Location: USDB Salt lake campus
CAMP LEADS: Maria Lira Jukic + Shirley Jimenez
Supported by the expanded core services team
A five-day program for students with visual impairments to build independence by applying Orientation and Mobility concepts to life experiences supported by Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists.
Activities will include: (may be subject to change)

Money Management Skills
College and career resources
Volunteer/Job awareness activities
Pottery
Advocacy Skills
Self-Defense
Drumming
Students need to bring a sack lunch
No transportation provided to and from camp
Snap Circut Camp
June 15th-June 19th 2026
Ages: 8+
TIME: @10am-11am
Location: Virtual via zoom
CAMP LEAD: Kathy Bingham
Supported by the expanded core services team
In this five-day program held over Zoom, students will explore electrical circuits by building electronic projects with a Snap Circuit Kit.
Students will learn:
Open/closed circuits
Parallel circuits
Spatial Awareness Skills
Tactile Literacy
Auditory & tactile feedback
Students will be sent an Accessible Snap Circuit kit to keep free of charge
STEM CAMP
June 30th & July 1st 2026
Ages: 10+
TIME: @10am-3pm

Provides hands-on opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and math in an accessible and engaging environment. If you are full of curiosity, creativity, and want confidence in exploring STEM this is the camp for you!

Cooking Camp Ogden

A Cooking and Kitchen Organization Summer Camp for students ages 14 and older with visual impairments. Students will maintain a clean and efficient cooking environment, while also building confidence, problem-solving skills, and independence in daily living.

Measuring ingredients
Hands-on food preparation
Kitchen management skills
Organizing their cooking space
Strategies for labeling
LUNCH IS PROVIDED

Assistive Technology Camp Ogden
July 15th & July 16th 2026
Ages: 10-16
TIME: @9am-3pm
location: usdb ogden campus
CAMP LEADS: quintin williams & at team
Supported by the expanded core services team
Students will learn how to use a digital audio player to record, organize, and manage audio files while exploring when and how recording should be used appropriately.
Activities will include: (may be subject to change)
Hands-on activities
Practice recording, deleting, and exporting files
Learn about digital memory and SD cards
Compare different audio devices
Present what they learned during a parent showcase
Students need to bring a sack lunch

Art Camp Springville
July 20th
Ages: 8+

Students also participate in a guided outdoor walk to explore nature through touch and sound, using the experience as inspiration for their artwork while building confidence and social interaction skills.
