Journey's is about 4 characters discovering and exploring their respective ancient temple from a time long past. Each temple contains a mythical artifact called a "Virtue." These can greatly enhance the abilities of whoever inherits them. They don't enhance just anyone, though; they can only enhance those who already have a latent ability that the Virtue embodies. Ex. If you are already stronger than most people, the Virtue of Valor will enhance that strength even further to new limits. These 4 characters each have their own unique adventure to conquer and obtain a Virtue.
Forrest - A curious explorer who found an old map in a book his parents got for him at a garage sale, or something equivalent. He spent a year decoding the map. It would have taken much longer, but thanks to his high intellect, he solved it much faster and followed it to an ancient temple hidden deep in the forest.
Winter - An energetic and agile bundle of joy who doesn't back out of a challenge. After being dared to visit the nearby mysterious temple in the mountains by her friends, she couldn't resist her adventurous spirit and headed to the temple.
Rusty - A boisterous and jolly fellow who's tough as nails and packs a punch. After searching for a worthy challenge to test his might, he hears rumors of an old dungeon that claims any living soul that enters. Intrigued, he visits the dungeon in search of glory.
Rover - An average guy who has amazing intuition and is a natural-born leader, but despite that fact, he refuses his fate in exchange for a normal life. He enjoys the peaceful silence of nature, but one day he feels lonely and searches for a pet. He finds and chases a rabbit through some weird ruins, and as he is about to catch it, he falls through the ground and ends up in a huge underground labyrinth.
Virtues are powerful manifestations of abilities. There are traits that are highly regarded across the land, and these traits manifested to help the people of this land survive. The Virtues hold the power to greatly enhance a person's latent potential for the trait the Virtue embodies. The gem in the middle is the Virtue itself, while everything outside of is called a Sigil. A Sigil is the vast amount of energy that leaks out, this is good for identifying what the Virtue embodies.
