Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What if I have a library book at home? When can I return it?
A: Hang on to your library book for now. We will let you know when we're ready for you to return it. It will likely be at the same time school chromebooks are returned.
Q: What about the SGS Scholastic Book Fair scheduled for April?
A: We will be holding an online Scholastic Book Fair April 18 - May 1. Shipping is free for book-only orders over $25 and items ship to your home. Our school will learn 25% of sales in free books for the library.
Q: What about William Allen White voting?
A: I still plan to have kids do William Allen White voting. Grades 3-8, I will prep a Google form ballot and share it with you so you have the opportunity to vote.
Q: What about Battle of the Books?
A: Battle of the Books can’t happen with teams. However, I’m working on a plan to let kids opt in to a virtual battle where they compete individually.
Q: What about the William Allen White Ice Cream Party?
A: We won’t have a WAW ice cream party, but I still plan to reward kids who read all or nearly all the WAW books. Don’t worry about the classroom charts. I can collect info from kids through a Google form later.
