We host three camps in July:
1.) Leadership Retreat - invite only
2.) Drumline/Colorguard
3.) Full Band camp
All students are required to attend full camp week.
If you are in drumline and colorguard you attend BOTH your camp and Full camp.
BGMT Leadership Retreat 2025 - July 18th-20th PASSED
This three-day camp is for the section leaders and drum majors only. We will prepare for the upcoming camps/fall season, learn about leadership, and become familiar with the show.

Drumline and Colorguard Camp, July 28th- Aug. 1st PASSED
The week before our full camp, the members of the drumline and colorguard will get together to begin learning fundamentals and the marching show. We will also learn our traditional cadences and routines so that the drumline and guard can function as a unit together.

Thursday - Marching Fundamentals and Music Rehearsal

Blue and Gold Marching Thunderbird Full Camp, Aug 4th-8th PASSED
This week will be required for all band members; putting together our fall show and working to learn the basics of marching band and our music book. Each day we will be marching outside in the morning and work on the music in the afternoon. Come prepared to work hard and have fun! At the end of camp on Friday we will have a band BBQ and Parent Exhibition to show off all the hard work and learning that has taken place. NEW - we will have a freshman parent orientation meeting starting at 4:30PM in the CHS upper commons to help freshman parents learn the high school band system.

Each day ends with a Quizzing Competition at 3:00-3:30PM and then uniform fittings
Monday Mismatch Monday - Freshmen Focus and Leaders in the AM // Veterans starting at 12:30PM
Tuesday Boot Scootin Tuesday- All members
Wednesday Section Color DAY - All members, Dodgeball day!
Thursday Crazy Sock Day- All members
Friday Extreme Blue and Gold Day - All members -- 5:30PM Parent BBQ and Exhibition
